Volunteer With Us
Over the past several years the Musquodoboit Harbour Farmers Market has become an integral part of its community. We are a regional farmers market that brings people together from all over the Eastern Shore (and beyond) each Sunday morning.
The market is a non-profit, volunteer organization that depends on its dedicated volunteers to bring the best experience to vendors and customers alike. Each Sunday we require people to fill various positions to run as smoothly as possible.
Helping Setup Tables (Seasonally)
Helping Vendors Load & Unload
Help out at the market table (Count Customers, Ring in merchandise, Sell 50/50 Tickets
Run the Kids Table
Be a runner for our big market event (Seaside Christmas and Christmas Markets)
How to volunteer with us
You don’t have to volunteer every week, you give us your availability and we’ll work with that. Once you are confirmed for a shift, we do ask you to keep your commitment with us – we rely on you! You can sign up to volunteer individually or with a friend or coworkers – let us know and we’ll book your group together!
Benefits for our youth
Students, this is a great way to gain experience for your resume. You will gain customer service experience, retail experience and connect with your community. It’s an opportunity to grow your skills. If you are a reliable, hard worker that attends your scheduled shifts, we are happy to provide a letter of reference. Many of our students that started with us will come back from time to time
